  1. Nomination of the Salish (Bitterroot, Darby, and Ram's Horn) Medicine Tree

    Conducted ethnographic and ethnohistoric research and prepared reports documenting the cultural and spiritual significance of the Salish and other Medicine Trees in the Bitterroot area. Prepared nomination forms for this traditional cultural property to be placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

  2. Expert Panel Elicitation for Inadvertent Human Intrusion - Nevada Test Site

    Participated as an expert in developing strategies for long term burial of nuclear wastes at the Nevada Test Site.

  3. Expert Witness for Native American Prisoners' Religious Freedoms

    Case # CV No. 93-D-1404-N James Morning Raven Limbaugh, et al., Plaintiff v. Leslie Thompson, et al., Defendant. U.S. District Court, Middle District of Alabama, Northern Division.

    Served as an expert witness in the rights to religious freedoms of Native American prisoners in three cases in Idaho, Alabama, and California involving the ceremonial uses of tobacco, sweat lodges, sacred pipe, hair length, and other Native American cultural practices.

  4. Shoshone-Paiute and Shoshone-Bannock NAGPRA Consultation

    Prepared various reports and memoranda concerning Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act and repatriation of tribal and BLM archaeological collections.
